It’s fine as long as they are there . The plugin, like many others, probably used the wp_head hook to insert the meta-tags i.e. it’s “normal” that you see a lot of “crap” (because of other plugins?), but it’s fine as long as you have meta-keywords and meta-description tags .

Hi there, Your wordpress tutorials are very informative. However, I couldn’t find what I was looking for. I have searched a lot and couldn’t find any information on Google either.
I’m using Platinum SEO plugin on my blog however, the meta description and meta keywords generated by the plugin show up just above the head close. There is a lot of crap between the TITLE and the Meta Description/keywords. How can I display them just near the title?
Please help, I’m pretty sure, taking them near the top of the page will really help in getting more traffic.
